About the class
Welcome to an exciting sixth grade year with SO many new different things in your school life. And so in your Spanish class.
You will have a computer for online activities, practice, review, games, etc.
In Spanish class you will learn about how to communicate in different situations such as: introduce themselves and other, say how they feel, and talk about family relationships, talk about where to go shopping, express likes and dislikes, describe themselves as well as others, talk about food and how to prepare it, expressing daily chores, etc.
We will also learn about the culture, and interesting things about countries such as Puerto Rico, Peru, Mexico and Guatemala.
Spanish will be fun, interesting, and full of culture, games, power points presentations, activities in partners, role-playing, acting, along with plays, music, craft, dance and of course a lot of learning.
Classes will be primarily in Spanish, and you will have to try your Spanish every time you talk to me.
Your grades will come from many different performances:
- Daily participation
- Written homework
- Improvements in your accent, intonation, etc
- Improvement in your daily communicative activities
- Periodically written assessments – quizzes and tests.
- Projects
- Your behavior, punctuality, interest, motivation, etc.
