Today’s class was spent working on the South American Country Poster. No additional class time will be given. If you haven’t finished, it needs to be completed in your own time. Posters to be handed in on Monday.

If the Library still has it, we’ll be watching a video on the Panama Canal tomorrow.

So it was all down to luck with what South American country you got. The country names were written on a piece of paper, put in a bowl and then you got to randomly pick.

For the last part of the lesson, we watched a documentary about Guy Fawkes and the Gunpowder Plot. Personally, I loved it!!!!

See you tomorrow and work hard.

HW:

I am hoping that the ‘extremely helpful’ Georgianna got to give you all a piece of paper. We decided we wanted to impress the rest of Middle School and decorate the boring wall outside the classroom. With your paper, display the map of your selected country. I would like to collect these on Thursday so I can hang them this week. Use your imaginations and explore your artistic sides!! Remember the whole of the middle school will get to see these so be proud of what you create. Your name and the Country name needs to be included somewhere.

2) There will be a General Test on Friday. It will cover what we have covered over the past few months. For example, Scientific Method, Lab Reports, Metric System, Matter, States of Matter etc. There will be a Special Help Session on Thursday.

3) As discussed in class, there will be a quiz tomorrow. The diagram is below and the words are:

Well done everyone. You completed your first week of Middle School and your first Science quiz. I will grade them over the weekend.

After the test, we sorted out our binder and looked at various aspects of the course including Grading. You were told that all this information can be found on the Science page of the blog.

Have a great weekend.

H/W: For Monday

1) Ensure that all Laboratory Safety Contracts have been signed and returned to school.

2) Secondly, its completion time!! You were all given a number at the end of the class today. Look at the Laboratory Safety Contract and see what rule your number is. Then on a regular sheet of blank paper, get artistic and illustrate that rule. Put your name and class number on the back. The best ones will be displayed on the walls in the classroom.
