6th Grade Geography

Students worked on their European city landmark project. No more class time will be allocated to work on this project. Students will be presenting their projects to the class on Monday.

 

I will not be at school tomorrow. Students will be watching a BBC travel documentary entitled “Himalaya” that stars a very funny man called Michael Palin.

 

HW: Ensure that your European City Landmark project is ready to present for MONDAY. Put your best efforts in and let’s finish this year strong!!

6th Grade Science

Students continued to work on their Robotic Projects. All groups are on Mission 1 of a total of 5. The missions will get progressively more difficult.

 

I will not be at school tomorrow. Before moving onto the next mission, the teacher needs to be shown your robot successfully complete the required task. In addition, a worksheet needs to be completed in full by each group. THIS WORKSHEET WILL BE GRADED.

HW:

If you have any bright ideas of how you would like to spend the last week of 6th Grade Geography, here is your chance.  Write out what you would like to do in class and then show me. I need to see all the details and want to see that it is well planned. It needs to be ‘somewhat’ educational (and not just eating food and watching cartoons).

Students started a new European assignment. After picking a European city, students started to research a minimum of 7 landmarks. As well as a brief description, students need to state why, where, when and by whom the landmark was constructed.

 

Students chose the following cities: Alex (London), Paris (Thomas), Dublin (Rivers), Monaco (Georgianna), Stockholm (Anna), Reykjavik (Chandler), Luxembourg (Avery), Budapest (Andrew), Madrid (Jonathan), Vatican City (Christian), Berlin (Nick), Oslo (Margaret)
