6th Grade Computer Class Description
In today’s world, it is important that our students become active,
self-sufficient, ethical computer users. The skills taught in this
course will be essential both in and out of school. The sixth grade
computer course focuses on the computer as a tool that can help
students work more effectively. The computer curriculum is
designed to reinforce previously learned skills as well as introduce
technical skills that are essential components of the larger Middle
School curriculum. Each student will be required to demonstrate
computer navigation proficiency (GUI or graphical user interface
proficiency) using a new program to accomplish basic tasks.
Students will demonstrate practical application of what they have
learned through a variety of class projects.

6th Grade Computer Lab Expectations

1. Please, bring your laptop (in its case of course!)
2. Please, show respectful behavior to your classmates, your teacher, and the lab itself.
3. Please, be on time! A tardy slip will be given if you have to return to your locker after the bell rings.
4. Please, be responsible for due dates.
