USH:   Remember the test is wed/thurs!!!   Please prepare a little ahead of time.  We spent class today reviewing, mostly with questions generated by me.  It would be better if more of you generated questions.

GEO:  Today we watched more Nile River, and one Congo River, presentations.  Not bad at all.

USH:  again, we worked on etexts.  we looked at three search engines found through our library.  please use these first; they will make your work easier and faster.  the test has been split into two days:  next wednesday and thursday.  you will get 14 questions the first day and 13 the next.  i hope this helps some.

GEO:  today we watched two Nile Presentations in class.  tomorrow, we will watch some more.

USH:  we continued to discuss items for the upcoming test.  the test is the 22nd, next wednesday.

GEO:  i hope that we will begin to view the various travelogues tomorrow. we may watch one or two and then let those who are not done work some more.

USH:  today in class, we discussed some things on which the kids worked while i was in the everglades.  we are looking at the constitutional issues involved with each.  we covered the sedition act, the ky and va resolutions, and “marbury v. madison.”  the text will be on wed the 22nd.

USH:  we worked on etexts today.   each class has been assigned a certain type of text:    a pictorial history; historical fiction; and a regular history text.  This friday we will spend some time going over stuff for the upcoming test.

GEO:  we worked on our travelogues for the nile river.   i hope that these will be done by the end of class tomorrow.  then, on to either the congo or niger river!!!!

USH:  we went over last week’s class work…checking on completion and understanding.  i think we failed on understanding!!!   REMEMBER WE HAVE A TEST ON WEDNESDAY THE 22nd!!!!

GEO:   we worked on travelogues of the Nile River in class.

USH:  we again worked on images for the etext in class.  Tomorrow, we will discuss what the kids will be doing while i am in the Everglades.

GEO:  we finished, at last, our oral presentations…whew.  Tomorrow, we will go over what to expect while i am with the 8th grade next week.  And, then we will watch planet earth.

USH:  today in class, we kept gathering images for 1861/1862.  Each student was graded on completing at least 10 images with links.  This work is designed to facilitate our later work on Civil War Etext project!!!

GEO:  oral presentations again today.

USH: we split into small groups and began our first work on the next etext:  Civil War.  WE are beginning with images of war….and will move on form there.  WE are using the kid’s history blogs to start.

GEO:   today, we continued with oral presentations.
