Mrs. Jones teaches Visual Arts to sixth, seventh, and eighth grade students. She has also taught Digital Photography and has worked with Mrs. Eswine’s summer painting camp at Country Day. Mrs. Jones taught on the college level at St. Leo College,  high school in Winter Haven, Florida and elementary and  middle school art in the Savannah-Chatham Public school system for a number of years prior to coming to SCDS. She has served as a supervising teacher for numerous student teachers and served on the Visiting Committee for the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools at the request of two independent schools.  She earned her BS in Art Education and her MED in Art Education from Georgia Southern University. Mrs. Jones enjoys furthering her education through classes, workshops and conferences. She has done workshops and classes at the University of Tennessee Arrowmont Crafts School in Gatlinburg, Tennessee , at SCAD Educators’ Forum SCAD Atlanta and SCAD Savannah, The Maine Photography Workshops, Rockport, Maine to mention a few. She particularly enjoyed  a plein air painting workshop with Ross Merrill, Chief of Conservation at the National Gallery of Ar, Washington, D.C.
