We have a short week as you will have no school on Friday (Teacher Workday) or Monday (Presidents Day Holiday).  You STILL have a 3-D valentine due on Tuesday – Valentines Day. Remember these valentines are worth 15 points (5 points for 3-D, 5 points for creativity, and 5 points for using at least 10 different mathematical terms).

Geometry -  Monday in class we will discuss 7-6 (Midsegment theorem) and 7-3 (Ways to prove a quadrilateral is a parallelogram). For Monday night: 3-D valentine, and p. 288-289 #6-15, 22-29. For Tuesday night you need to do the Chapter 7 practice test. This week in Math

So I hope you have recovered from Outward Bound or a week away from school. We are all tired and in need of a rest.  Keep in mind that your 3-D valentines will be due Tuesday. Your valentine must be creative, 3-D and use at least 10 mathematical words.

Geometry – Yesterday in class we worked on Trapezoids and Kites. You had a worksheet due today. For tonight you need to do the Worksheet / Outline on Quadrilaterals and finding the angles. For Monday you will need to finish the Parallelogram sheet and be working on your valentine. Quiz Thursday!

Honors Algebra – Due today in class was the old 9-4(B) worksheet and p. 534-535 #3-8, 12, and 13.  Today in class we practiced reading graphs and graphing parabolas. For tonight you need to do worksheet 9-1 and 9-2 (extra practice). Tomorrow in clas we will discuss the quadratic equation so your homework will be to do worksheet 9-4 (A) and practice the quadratic equation. Also keep in mind your 3-D valentine will be due on Tuesday.

Algebra – On Wednesday we worked on solving the quadratic equation and you needed to do worksheet 9-5 through #21.  Today in class we did more practice on the quadratic equation. Remember you must memorize this formula! Also for Friday you need to do the worksheet “Practice Activity”. The first 5 problems do not require the quadratic equation.
