Hola a todos.
I was born in Madrid, the city with the best soccer team on Earth, REAL MADRID (well, Barcelona is pretty good too).
In Madrid I studied High School and music, in The Royal Conservatory of Music. Then, I moved to the United States, and worked in different fields. I worked as a model for Gianni Versace, Giorgo Armani, Paco Rabanne, Christian Dior, Ted Lapidus, etc… I traveled around the world and had a lot of fun. Also, I worked as a photographer for a Spanish newspaper in Miami. Then, I started studying, and I liked it so much, that I had honors classes. I got my A.A. in psychology, from Miami Dade College; my B.A. I got from Florida International University, in English and Spanish (I was a double major). Later, I did my Master’s degree in Hispanic Literature in New York University. I loved New York city, where I lived for six years. Four years ago, I went back to Spain to do my Doctoral degree in History and Theory of Theater. I have just finished my degree dissertation. I love to teach, I’ve been doing it since 1992 in colleges, universities, and one High School. Middle School will be a great opportunity to expand my abilities and to learn a lot from you. It is great to have you as my students and I hope everybody can learn a lot of Spanish, and from all the cultural differences we have in the Hispanic world. Eventually, I would love to hear that you have visited a Spanish speaking country.
I love Savannah, and I love Savannah Country Day School. Everybody, including parents, made me feel so welcome to my new environment. I thank you all for being so good to me. Now it is my turn to be good to you, and teach you lots of Spanish, and Hispanic culture.
¡BIENVENIDOS!

Sra. Rodríguez Carretero

P.S. My favorite pastimes are dancing, writing, and my Nintendo DS.
