5/16/12

It was great to see you working in the project.  Keep in mind that you have to send to my folder all you have done in power point, including the movie.  I cannot wait to see all the Hispanic countries.  Good luck with the take home exam.  Star the study guide to see in what areas you need more help.  BUENA SUERTE.

It is a good feeling seeing you working in the projects or in the take home exam.  I cannot wait to see your power point presentations.  Remember you have to send it to my folder, all you have done during the year must be in my folder, the movie too.  I’ll let you know tomorrow.  Probably will take us 2 days to see the presentations, don’t panic if you have to wait for Friday.  BUENA SUERTE

Great job with the reflexives verbs, remember that we know it is a reflexive because something is attached to the infinitive, the name of the verb, what is it? yes, -SE.  The subject is the one who performs the action to herself or himself, for instance to wash your hands, you do it to yourself, LAVARSE is the name of the verb and the pronoun attached to the infinitive must agree with each conjugated perso, that’s it, for YO we need ME; for TÚ we need TE, for ÉL, ELLA Y USTED, SE, for NOSOTROS, NOS, for VOSOTROS, OS and for ELLOS, ELLAS, USTEDES, SE.  The final result will be: YO ME LAVO LAS MANOS, TÚ TE LAVAS LAS MANOS, ÉL SE LAVA LAS MANOS, NOSOTROS NOS LAVAMOS LAS MANOS, VOSOTROS OS LAVÁIS LAS MANOS, ELLOS SE LAVAN LAS MANOS.

Tomorrow I’ll explain how we can attach a reflexive pronoun to an INFINITIVE or a PRESENT PARTICIPLE.

In the take home exam/quiz, we’ll deal with the PRETÉRITO, THE DEMONSTRATIVE ADJECTIVES AND THE REFLEXIVE VERBS.  EL PRETÉRITO is on pages 206, 207, the demonstrative adjectives and pronouns on page 210, 211, and the reflexive verbs on pages 236, 237.  BUENA SUERTE.

Remember to do the TAREA PARA MAÑANA.  We’ll finish watching the Power Point that I’ve prepared for you today.  The irregular YO forms are very important, DECIR (DIGO) TENER (TENGO) PONER (PONGO) TRAER (TRAIGO) HACER (HAGO).  Only the YO form is irregular, the rest of the verbs conjugates like any other regular verb -AR, -ER- or -IR.

If you have questions about the project, do not hesitate to see me, Homeroom, X Period, Advisory, even after class I’ll be here.  HASTA MAÑANA.

ESTE-ESTA-ESTOS-ESTAS

ESE-ESA-ESOS-ESAS

AQUEL-AQUELLA-AQUELLOS-AQUELLAS

These are the demonstrative adjectives, and with an accent, they become PRONOMBRES DEMOSTRATIVOS.  I think you all got it, it’s a matter of practice, we’ll do some exercises and then you’ll be ready for the VERBOS REFLEXIVOS.  They are a lot of fun!

Come to see me if you have questions about the project.  HASTA MAÑANA

¡FELICIDADES EN LAS PRESENTACIONES DE EL CINCO DE MAYO! You did great.  By now I’m sure you know that we don’t celebrate The Independence of Mexico, but LA VICTORIA CONTRA LOS FRANCESES EN 1862.

Be careful with the exam.  You can use your notes, the book (pp. 206-207), and the dictionary.  Try not to use the Supersite, but if you think you need it, go ahead and use it.  ¡VIVA EL CINCO DE MAYO! ¡HASTA EL LUNES!
