Great job with the reflexives verbs, remember that we know it is a reflexive because something is attached to the infinitive, the name of the verb, what is it? yes, -SE. The subject is the one who performs the action to herself or himself, for instance to wash your hands, you do it to yourself, LAVARSE is the name of the verb and the pronoun attached to the infinitive must agree with each conjugated perso, that’s it, for YO we need ME; for TÚ we need TE, for ÉL, ELLA Y USTED, SE, for NOSOTROS, NOS, for VOSOTROS, OS and for ELLOS, ELLAS, USTEDES, SE. The final result will be: YO ME LAVO LAS MANOS, TÚ TE LAVAS LAS MANOS, ÉL SE LAVA LAS MANOS, NOSOTROS NOS LAVAMOS LAS MANOS, VOSOTROS OS LAVÁIS LAS MANOS, ELLOS SE LAVAN LAS MANOS.
Tomorrow I’ll explain how we can attach a reflexive pronoun to an INFINITIVE or a PRESENT PARTICIPLE.
In the take home exam/quiz, we’ll deal with the PRETÉRITO, THE DEMONSTRATIVE ADJECTIVES AND THE REFLEXIVE VERBS. EL PRETÉRITO is on pages 206, 207, the demonstrative adjectives and pronouns on page 210, 211, and the reflexive verbs on pages 236, 237. BUENA SUERTE.
